Willimantic - Saffwan Davis ran for four touchdowns in the first quarter as Fitch High School jumped out to a 42-0 hafltime lead and went on to beat Windham 56-46 in a high school football game Friday night.
Davis had touchdown runs of 65, 14, 9, and 3 and Ian Boyd followed each with an extra point. Davis finished with 124 yards on 10 carries. John Moscol returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown, Kasey Flint ran 10 yards for a score and Boyd had two more extra points before the half.
In the second half, Kevin Manzanares had a 46-yard touchdown run and Travon Dandridge ran three yards for the final score and Boyd followed both with extra points. Robert Johnston rushed for 55 yards on six carries for Fitch (5-1). Windham (4-3) scored all 46 of its points in the fourth quarter.
In another game:
• Seth Hoagland threw for two touchdown passes and ran for a third as Waterford beat St. Bernard/Norwich Tech 41-7. Chris Jones also ran for two touchdowns and rushed for 124 yards on 17 carries for Waterford (3-4).
Kyle Willoughby caught both of the touchdown passes and finished with seven catches for 113 yards. Joe Gustafson opened the scoring with a 6-yard touchdown run and finished with 100 yards on 15 carries. Hoagland also carried the ball nine times for 49 yards at Nick Lehet kicked five extra points for Waterford.
Quarterback Phil Jenkins had a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Kaleb Violette added the extra point for St. Bernard/Norwich Tech (0-6).
