Readers share photos of adopted shelter dogs

As expected, we had a very enthusiastic response to our recent query seeking photos of adopted shelter dogs. The photos represent a bevy of breeds in a variety of colors and mixes thereof. Some are smiling, some are sleepy, some aren't sure about getting a photo taken - but they all look pretty relieved to be home.

As National Adopt a Shelter Dog month comes to an end, we thought we'd mark the occasion by introducing several of the region's four-legged adoptees to their neighbors.
