The students at Chester Elementary School are involved in a program called Bucket Filling. This program is based on the book Have You Filled a Bucket Today? The message of the book is that everyone walks around with an invisible bucket and you can fill someone's bucket by doing something nice for someone or saying something nice to someone. Any student, faculty, or staff member can "catch someone being nice" and fill out a "drop." The drops are then put into a bucket, located in the main office. Five names are drawn at the beginning of each week by members of the Helping Hands Academy. Those five students have won a prize. All the drops are then displayed on the Bucket Filling bulletin board for everyone in the school to see. Shown here putting a drop in the bucket are, from left, Carter Morris, Matthew Gill, and William Vile.
