New London Dems schedule candidates event

New London — City Democrats are hosting a "Meet the Candidates" dinner Saturday at the New London Lodge of Elks on Washington Street.

Cocktails start at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 per person

The keynote speaker will be John Olsen, president of the Connecticut AFL-CIO. Kevin Lembo, state comptroller, will also be at the event.

Also expected to attend are Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman, U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney, State Sen. Andrea Stillman, Rep. Ernest Hewett, D-New London, and Rep. Elissa Wright, D-New London and Groton.
