Flags at half-mast for firefighter who died during storm

Hartford – Gov. Dannel P. Malloy directed today that Connecticut flags fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday to honor the Easton volunteer firefighterwho died in the line of duty during Storm Sandy.

Lt. Russell F. Neary, 55, was killed Monday when a tree fell on him as he cleared debris from a roadway.  

He was one of three Connecticut residents who died as a result of the storm.
