State police arrest two New York men on drug charges

Griswold — State police arrested Thursday two New York men who they say were in possession of nearly 7 ounces of uncut cocaine.

Police said they received numerous calls reporting that a red Dodge Charger was driving erratically on I-395 north in the area of Exit 81 in Norwich.

Police spotted the vehicle in Lisbon and pulled it over in Griswold. After an investigation, state police K-9, Dutch found drugs in the trunk. Police said they found 6.6 ounces of uncut cocaine. Police said the street value of the drugs is around $20,000.

Police arrested Miguel Castoire, 26, and Coleman Andre Jr., 27, both of the Bronx, and charged them each with illegal possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Andre was also charged with improper signal.

The men are each being held on a $100,000 bond, pending their arraignment today in Norwich Superior Court.
