I was very disappointed in state Senate candidate Cathy Osten's comment on small business.
In October, I attended a debate where she stated that government is required for businesses to generate jobs. Obviously, she has never been a small business owner. We all know that it's getting harder to maintain a profit with the constant increase in fuel costs and taxes. The last thing we need is more government to meddle into our businesses.
Let's place a leader who listens in the position of state senator. Rep. Chris Coutu is a breath of fresh air who will challenge the stale ideas that resonate out of Hartford.
Chris continues to serve in the Armed Forces and is an independent maverick in the House of Representatives. He did a great job for Canterbury and will do well for the 19th District.
