Post-hurricane loans available

Residents who sustained storm related damage from Hurricane Sandy may be eligible to receive an emergency loan from Chelsea Groton Bank.

The special unsecured loan program was developed for those who have the challenging task of repairing, replacing and cleaning up after the hurricane. Residents of New London County and bordering areas may apply at their local branch or by calling 860-448-4100 before Nov. 16.

"A real benefit to being a mutual bank is the ability to anticipate and respond when our customers need us the most," Michael Rauh, president and CEO of Chelsea Groton, said.
