UPDATED: Schools announce cancellations

East Lyme: public schools will end student activities at 3:30 p.m. and have cancelled the Parent Advisory Network meeting at the high school, according to the district's website. Elementary and middle school parent conferences, as well as child care, will continue as usual. There will be a 3:30 p.m. late bus for East Lyme students, but no late bus for Salem, the website stated.

Norwich: Public schools have canceled all after-school activities today, including parent-teacher conferences. The Wequonnoc and Uncas schools' late buses have been canceled, and out-of-town special education buses are being called back early.

Lyme-Old Lyme: Public schools have cancelled all afterschool activities today and postponed tonight's special and regular Board of Education meetings, due to the weather.

University of Connecticut: UConn is canceling all classes that start at 5 p.m. or later tonight on the Storrs campus. Classes also are canceled at the Torrington, Waterbury, Greater Hartford and School of Law campuses.
