Twin River, the Lincoln, R.I., slots parlor seeking to hire 350 new workers in connection with its introduction of table games later this year, will conduct a job fair next week.
In separate statewide and local Election Day referendums, voters approved the expansion of gambling at Twin River, where officials have said they plan to offer blackjack, craps, roulette and perhaps poker by July 1 or sooner. Voters in Newport scuttled a similar expansion at Newport Grand, Rhode Island's only other gambling facility.
Twin River's job fair is scheduled for 1 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the facility's Event Center.
