The Groton Business Association of the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce has announced that this year's 14th annual Holiday Lights Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 1, at 5 p.m.

The deadline to file an application is Friday, Nov. 16.

There will be cash prizes for the winners of the various float categories. The grand prize is $250 for the Finest Illumination. The prizes for the other categories are $100 prize for Best Children's Entry; $100 prize for Sounds of the Season; and $100 prize for Most Original.

Participants must complete an online application that can be found at www.grotonbiz.com. Those without Internet access should call (860) 536-5680.
