Norwich -- The 2013 New York-Penn League All-Star celebration logo was officially unveiled this morning by the Connecticut Tigers, the team hosting the game at the Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium in Norwich.
The logo features a ship's wheel, an anchor and nautical flags to mark Norwich's and the region's maritime history and uses the Detroit Tigers' Old English lettering.
The logo was unveiled as the Connecticut Tigers opened ticket and merchandise sales for the Aug. 13 game at 7:35 p.m. at Dodd Stadium.
"We're thrilled to be hosting this game," said Vice President/General Manager C.J. Knudsen. "It's a great tribute to our fan base and exciting for all baseball fans throughout the state of Connecticut."
Ticket prices for the All-Star game are the same as the 2013 single game ticket prices: $10 for premium seat tickets, $9 for reserved seat tickets and $8 for grandstand seat tickets and are available online at www.cttigers.com and at the ticket office at Dodd Stadium. Call (860) 887-7962.
T-shirts featuring the All-Star Celebration logo are available through the Tigers' website.
The Dodd Stadium Box Office is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
