New London – A Groton felon arrested Thursday in Norwich on charges of violating a protective order was later brought to New London to face charges of selling crack cocaine here.

Vain Dadd, 35, of 35 D St., Groton, was first arrested in Norwich, where police learned Dadd had an outstanding warrant in New London. The warrant charges him with two counts of possession of crack cocaine and two counts of sale of crack cocaine. He was held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

In 2005, Dadd was convicted of selling drugs in New London and sentenced to 42 months in prison. He also has a conviction for second-degree breach of peace.

In July, Dadd was arrested by Groton Town police and faces charges there of second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault.
