Four arrested in Pawcatuck brawl

Stonington — Four men were arrested Wednesday following a brawl at the Elm Tree Inn in downtown Pawcatuck.

John V. Banks, 23, of 98 W. Broad St., Apt. 26, which is the inn's address, was charged with two counts of third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Robert J. Quattromani, 33, of 75 Canal St., Westerly, was charged with breach of peace; Ghonni R. Kowalski, 23, of no certain address, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and interfering with an officer; and Michael Famodimo, 20, of 4 Knight St., Westerly, was charged with breach of peace and second-degree criminal trespass.

Police said the brawl began when Quattromani went to the inn at about 4:30 p.m. looking for his girlfriend, who he thought was in one of the rooms there. The combatants sustained minor injuries.
