The Branford football team dropped a 48-6 decision at Fairfield Prep on Nov. 15 to stand a 4-5 entering the season's final game.
That game will take place in East Haven at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22, when Mike Tracy's squad faces the Yellowjackets in the 71st edition of the teams' Thanksgiving rivalry. Branford holds a 36-30 advantage in a series that also has four ties dating back to 1946. The Hornets have won the game the last five years and 10 of the last 11, including a 24-7 victory last fall.
Against Prep, Carl Williams rushed four times for a 64-yard TD and made 11 tackles, Owen Karsmarski reeled off a 36-yard run, and Andrew Cohen had nine tackles.
