East Granby — About 80 airmen from the 103rd Air Control Squadron returned from Afghanistan Nov. 20.

They arrived at the Bradley Air National Guard Base. They left Connecticut in May, and were responsible for the control of coalition airspace in the region. The unit has participated in every major air campaign of the last decade and has deployed four times to southwest Asia. Lt. Col. William Neri, of Southbridge, Mass., commands the squadron.
