Groton tattoo artist Steve Tefft will be among the four finalists in Tuesday’s season finale of Ink Master, a reality competition show on Spike TV.
The show pits artists against each other in weekly elimination challenges. The winner will be named after a two-hour finale that ends with a one-hour live segment. Along with the title of Ink Master, the winner gets $100,000 and a feature story in Inked magazine.
Tefft, the owner of 12 Tattoos on Long Hill Road in Groton, was chosen from among thousands of applicants as one of the 16 tattoo artists to compete in the show’s second season. His work has been among the judges favorites throughout the season.
Tuesday’s finale starts at 9 p.m. and the live segment starts at 10 p.m. One of the contestants will be eliminated in the live portion of the finale based on votes for tattoos at the Ink Master website.
