Westerly -- Beginning today, and until further notice, The Westerly Hospital requests that anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose and headache not visit patients in the hospital.

The request is being made to protect patients and is in response to an increase in the number of identified cases of the flu being seen, the hospital said in a news release. All other visitors are welcome.
