For all the storied lore about the tradition of holiday caroling, how often is your neighborhood actually visited by good-hearted folks crooning Christmas songs for your enjoyment?
Exactly! Almost never!
Which makes Mystic Seaport's 57th Annual Community Carol Sing, taking place Sunday, truly special. The event kicks off at 2 p.m. with an hour-long concert by the Mystic Seaport Carolers and a brass quartet in Greenmanville Church. Immediately following, the Carol Sing proper - all are welcome! - takes place at the seaport's Anchor Circle. It's worth noting that, adding to the spirit, the grounds are decorated in wonderland fashion.
The Carol Sing benefits the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, and admission to the seaport is free with the donation of a non-perishable canned good.
