Adams named CEO of Prudential Connecticut Realty
Wallingford-based Prudential Connecticut Realty announced Wednesday the appointment of Candace Adams to the position of chief executive officer.
Adams, who also is president of the real estate company, takes over the reins from Peter Helie, who retains his title as chairman of Prudential Connecticut.
"I am very pleased that Candace will assume her new role," Helie said in a statement. "I am extremely confident that she will continue to grow and expand the company and deliver the highest level of service to our customers and sales associates."
Among Adams' many accomplishments was being named by the Hartford Business Journal as one of Connecticut's "8 Remarkable Women" in business for 2008. Two years ago, she also won a "Woman of FIRE" award from The Commercial Record, which annually recognizes the best and the brightest statewide in the finance, insurance and real estate industries.
Adams has been active with industry associations, including the Realty Alliance, and currently serves on the board for the Connecticut Multiple Listing Service. She has strongly supported Sunshine Kids, her company's designated charitable organization.
Prudential Connecticut currently has more than 1,400 sales associates at more than 50 locations throughout the state and Rhode Island. With more than $3 billion in sales volume last year, Prudential Connecticut currently ranks at the top statewide and claims to be the 18th largest real estate firm in the country.
Among the company's offices in Connecticut are locations in East Lyme, Old Saybrook, Norwich, Mystic and Stonington. It also has Rhode Island offices in Watch Hill and Westerly.
