St. Patrick's parade committee in New London is looking for its Queen

New London  –  The St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee is looking for a Queen for this year’s festivities.

The Queen and her court of four will be expected to attend events on behalf of the parade committee.

Entry deadline for the contest is Wednesday, Feb 20.   The Queen and her court will be announced on Saturday, March 2 at the New London Firefighters Pipe and Drum fundraiser being held at the Crocker House ballroom.

The winner of the Queen contest will receive a hair and makeup styling from Bijou Salon and Spa, gift certificate from Greenlight Boutique and jewelry from Mallove Jewelers.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee will be holding a fundraising breakfast at Hanafin’s Irish Pub on Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at Muddy Waters for $10.

The St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on March 17 at 1 p.m. in the downtown.  The parade’s theme is “Everyone Is Irish for a Day.”
