Colchester, Vt. — An Old Lyme resident was arrested Thursday on a drug charge after police started an investigation into drug activity on the campus of St. Michael's College.
Colin Basler, 19, was charged with possession and distribution of LSD. Basler, a sophomore, has since withdrawn from the college.
Colchester police said the investigation began when another college student, 19-year-old Ethan Levin, of Marblehead, Mass., jumped off the Lime Kiln Bridge. He survived the jump.
Basler is expected to appear in Superior Court on Tuesday to answer to the charges.
Police said they are continuing its investigation and expect additional arrests.
Police said they are also working with St. Michael's College administration and public safety officials.
