New Haven — Colin Grim from Ledyard High School and East Lyme's Kareem Small won titles during Saturday's CIAC State Open wrestling tournament at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.

Small edged Windham's Mike Ruffino, 3-2, to win the the 113-pound title. It was the senior's first Open championship, and he avenged a regular-season pinfall loss to Ruffino in the process.

Grim beat Wethersfield's Jimmy McDunnah, 5-3, to win at 182 pounds. It was the senior's first Open title.

Danbury won its 11th Open team championship with 130 points. Windham and South Windsor tied for second with 121 points each. Ledyard was sixth (76).

It's Oscar Sunday. What are you most interested in watching?
I want to see if Ben Affleck hands it to the Oscar voters by winning Best Picture with Argo.
I want to see the Chastain vs. Lawrence faceoff in the Best Actress category.
I won't be tuning in. Meryl Streep isn't up for anything and I'm peeved our local Hope Springs wasn't recognized.
I'm still fuming about Kushner's Lincoln inaccuracies.
I'll be watching The Walking Dead instead.
