Old Lyme – A 49-year old man from Lyme died Thursday morning in a one-car accident near Four Mile River Road.

State police said this morning that David Bojorquez, of 293 Hamburg Road, was driving southbound on Boston Post Road around 4:14 a.m. when his 2002 Volvo veered across the northbound lane into the wooded area on the other side of the road. The car rolled onto its driver side and crashed into a tree.

Police said Bojorquez was wearing his seat belt.

Emergency workers removed Bojorquez from the vehicle and took him to Yale-New Haven Hospital.

The road was shut down until just before 7 a.m. while police cleared the accident scene. The accident is still under investigation.

Should the Guantanamo prison be closed?
No. I believe that information from detainees has saved American lives.
Yes. Pres. Obama said this week that the prison is contrary to who we are and I agree.
No. Keeping the prison running means there are fewer people out there who want to harm Americans and our allies.
What's the wait? Pres. Bush announced he wanted to close it. Obama campaigned on the issue. Why hasn't it happened yet?
I don't know. All of these choices are black and white and don't represent how I feel.
