Mystic – A "March Against Monsanto" will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today to express support for a bill pending in the General Assembly that would require labeling of genetically engineered foods.

The march, which is sponsored by Food and Water Watch, GMO Free CT, also is a protest against Monsanto and an effort to raise awareness about genetically modified food and labeling efforts, to support local farmers and organic solutions.

The group will meet off Exit 90 on I-95, on the corner of Coogan Boulevard and Route 27. For information, contact Meagan Erhart, Food & Water Watch volunteer, at (860) 395-7248 or at: mehart@fwwlocal.org.
