Norwich — During a raid today at an unidentified hotel, Norwich police said they seized an ounce of raw heroin, a car, $1,600 cash and arrested a 37-year-old man on drug charges.

Milton Ramon, with no certain address, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell and operating a drug factory.

Police said the arrest was part of months-long investigation by Norwich police detectives and Statewide Narcotics Task Force into heroin trafficking in Norwich and the surrounding area.

Police said they served a search warrant at the hotel where they suspect Ramon was packaging the heroin for street sales. They estimated the heroin had a street value of $5,000.

Held in lieu of a $100,000 bond, Ramon is due to appear Tuesday in Norwich Superior Court.

Police ask anyone with information regarding any narcotic or criminal activity in the City of Norwich to call the Norwich Police Department, at (860)886-5561, the anonymous tip line at (860)886-5561, extension 500 or e-mail crimetips@cityofnorwich.org.

My dad and I always spend the day together.
