New London - Downtown businesses JobTarget LLC and ePath Learning Inc. have been named to a statewide list of the 40 fastest-growing technology companies in the state.

The Connecticut Technology Council's 2013 Marcum Tech Top 40, released this month, is based on revenue growth over the past four years. Companies must also have at least $3 million in revenues.

JobTarget, which helps connect employers with special-skills workers, was listed as one of the top firms statewide in the New Media, Internet and Telecommunications category. Recognition of ePath Learning, which focuses on online educational applications, came in the Software category.

Other firms in eastern Connecticut that received recognition in the Top 40 were Foster Corp. of Putnam, which develops custom compounds for medical devices; Rogers Corp. of Killingly, which manufactures specialized materials used in high-tech devices; and HealthCareOne of Shelton, a services company for the insurance and healthcare industries.

Do you think the U.S. should strike Syria for the alleged deadly chemical weapons attack?
Yes. This was Obama's 'red line' and Syria crossed it.
I agree with congressmen who are urging the president to seek U.N. Security Council approval before proceeding.
I don't think the U.S. should do this unilaterally.
No. A punitive strike would do nothing to protect Syrian civilians.
A U.S. strike would only escalate the conflict by drawing neighboring countries into the fight.
