Groton - Sixth-grader Sokrathy Thach, 11, center, and fellow classmates show their enthusiasm for the English-Irish pop boy-band One Direction Friday as students at West Side Middle School in Groton dance to music played by DJ Cee, foreground, at the school's Back-to-School Bash.

Students were released early from classes and treated to popsicles and tours of firetrucks, police cars and public works vehicles.

Do you think the U.S. should strike Syria for the alleged deadly chemical weapons attack?
Yes. This was Obama's 'red line' and Syria crossed it.
I agree with congressmen who are urging the president to seek U.N. Security Council approval before proceeding.
I don't think the U.S. should do this unilaterally.
No. A punitive strike would do nothing to protect Syrian civilians.
A U.S. strike would only escalate the conflict by drawing neighboring countries into the fight.
