I disagree with the point of the Sept. 11 letter, "Choice in Stonington: Ice cream politics or genuine leadership."
Glee McAnanly, a candidate for Stonington first selectman, found a fun and creative way to get her message to the voters with children in our neighborhoods by using an ice cream truck and giving free ice cream.
How sad that the writer finds the other candidate is somehow superior because he does not use an ice cream truck. Sometimes a good idea is just a good idea.
If the writer really wanted to talk to Glee about the issues he should have gotten off his porch, discussed the issues and had a free ice cream. How bad can that really be?
