As small business owners in town for the past 20 years, we wholeheartedly support Seth Klaskin for first selectman. Seth stands for "Love Your Local." We met Seth, Robyn, and their three girls when our kids attended the same preschool in town. They are both our friends and our customers. The Klaskins make a point to support Madison merchants. They buy their oil locally, have a local landscaper maintain their lawn, and employed local contractors to build their front walk and design their flower bed. They frequent the shops and restaurants downtown.
Beyond supporting local businesses, Seth is a local businessman. He and his wife maintain a law practice in town, and Seth recently started a new business independently bottling super-premium single cask whiskies. He knows firsthand the hard work of making a small retail business successful.
As the divisional director of the state's business and Uniform Commercial Code registries, Seth has served on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association Business Law Section, where he helps draft business-friendly laws.
Seth knows business and knows the state programs that can help steer it to Madison. When he says he will improve economic development in town, we truly believe in his ability to do so. We will be voting for a man whom we will be proud to call our first selectman!
