Waterford police investigate burglary of convenience store

Police believe this vehicle may have been involved in the Sunday morning burglary of the Cumberland Farms on Route 32.

Waterford — Police are investigating the early Sunday morning burglary of the Cumberland Farms convenience store on Route 32 in the Quaker Hill section of town.

Police said at about 3:48 a.m. an employee discovered that the store was burglarized. Police believe the incident may have occurred around 1 a.m.

A preliminary investigation has uncovered that a car was parked across the street in the McCarthy Oil plaza. Police said a white male who was in the vehicle crossed the street and broke into the Cumberland Farms by removing cinder blocks from the rear of the store.
