Police have arrested a 30 year-old Guilford man for enticing a 15 year-old minor female.
On Sun. Oct. 13, 2013, Robert. W. Streitweiser, 30, of 133 South Hoop Pole Road was arrested at 1:30 a.m. in Guilford's Shell Beach parking area. The victim, who was not on the scene, was a minor; described by police as a 15 year-old female. The arrest was made by Sergeant Tim Bernier of the Guilford Police Department.
The following information was issued by police in a press release: "A case was initiated in September of 2013 in which Mr. Streitweiser contacted a party via the internet that he believed to be a 15 year-old child.
Based on information gained during this investigation, it was determined that Mr. Streitweiser was planning on meeting the child in Guilford during the early morning hours of Sunday.
Undercover officers from the Guilford Police Department set up surveillance in the area. A short time later Mr. Streitweiser arrived and was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with Attempted use of a Computer to Entice a Minor, and Attempted Risk of Injury/Impairing the Morals of Children. He was held on a $20,000 bond and arraigned in court on Tuesday morning."
