I'm curious, did anyone else miss the memo stating it's acceptable to go shopping in ones' pajamas? Of course, I'm being facetious. I just want some explanation as to why this practice has become so prevalent.
Perhaps it's because the definition in the dictionary is so broad. So allow me to clarify. If clothing is made of flannel or fleece, and has pictures of (let me pick a few from the many I've seen) Sponge Bob, Hello Kitty, Tinkerbell, or Betty Boop, they are pajamas!
The aforementioned definition states that pajamas are for sleeping in. Therefore, unless you plan on taking a nap in the pet food aisle, they shouldn't be seen in the grocery store. I'm sorry for the sarcasm, but I think I've made my point.
