Norwich police search for hit-and-run driver

Norwich — Police said a 14-year-old girl was injured Thursday in a hit-and-run accident that occurred at the intersection of Washington and Sachem streets.

Police said the girl was hit by an unknown-type vehicle, which fled the scene.The accident happened around 5:30 p.m.

The girl was taken to the William W. Backus Hospital, where she was treated and released.
