Norwich – Police on Monday captured a man they say is on Puerto Rico's most wanted list and facing attempted murder and domestic abuse charges.

Pedro A. Salcedo, 24, was stopped by police in a vehicle Monday afternoon and charged with fugitive from justice and interfering with an officer.

City police said they had worked with Puerto Rico authorities to find Salcedo in Norwich.

Norwich police said Salcedo is wanted by San Juan police on a fully extraditable warrant for his role in an attempted murder with a gun, two counts of conjugal abuse and aggravated conjugal abuse of a minor.

Held in lieu of a $1.5 million bond, Salcedo will be presented Tuesday in Norwich Superior Court.
