Professor apologizes for telling the truth
The April 23 article, "ECSU professor sorry for anti-Republican statement in class," quotes the professor as having said, "Republicans will take over the Senate as well as the House...and we will live in a very, very different kind of country if that happens."
The Republican/Ryan Budget cuts $5.1 trillion from spending over 10 years on things that make our lives better, reduces taxes on the wealthy and giant corporations, and increases military spending by $483 billion over the same period. (Revoking Obamacare will shift costs back to the most vulnerable or the taxpayers.)
In addition, he said, "There are a lot of people out there that do not want black people to vote, do no want Latinos to vote.."
That's also true. Republicans, in states they control, have engaged in aggressive minority voter suppression strategies to give themselves an edge. Almost all U.S. media is owned by oligarchs. For example, Bain Capital, Mitt Romney's old company, is a major owner of Clear Channel, which owns 1,200 radio stations that promote right wing, vote suppression advocates like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
If university faculty can't tell the truth, who can?
