Norwich – Police arrested two city residents and seized heroin and an assortment of other drugs Friday during a raid at an Oakwood Knoll home.
Acting on tips from the public, police said they executed a search and seizure warrant at 49 Oakwood Knoll where they found more than 70 grams of heroin and moderate quantities of crack cocaine, cocaine and marijuana. Police said they also found packaging material consistent with drug trafficking.
Jordan Edwards, 28, of 49 Oakwood Knoll, was charged with sale of heroin, sale of crack cocaine, operating a drug factory, interfering with police and possession of heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine all with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a housing complex.
Edwards was held in lieu of a $150,000 bond pending his arraignment Monday in Norwich Superior Court.
As a result of the investigation, police additionally charged Laura Finley, 29, of 524 E. Main St., Norwich, Apt. 4, with possession of crack cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and slated to appear Aug. 14 in Norwich Superior Court.
