224954 TOWN OF SALEM ATTENTION SALEM TAXPAYERS SECOND INSTALLMENT NOTICE Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Town of Salem that I have a warrant to collect a tax of 32.2 mills on a dollar on the levy of October 1, 2016 for Real Estate and Personal Property and 32 mills on a dollar for Motor Vehicle which is due and payable as follows: 1) Real Estate and Personal Property bills over $100.00 may be paid in full, or in two equal installments: first installment due on July 1, 2017 and the second install- ment on January 1, 2018. 2) Real Estate and Personal Property tax bills under $100.00 are due in full on July 1, 2017. 3) Motor Vehicle taxes are due in full July 1, 2017, regardless of the amount. 24898 Groton Public Schools Public Notice of Disposition of Special Education Records The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA, otherwise known as the Buckley Amendment) and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires that school districts notify parents when personally identifiable information is no longer needed to provide educational services to the child. The Groton Public Schools has received approval for the destruction of educational records which have been retained for the length of time required by the applicable regulations and schedules of the Connecticut State Library and the Public Records Administration. Please be advised that the records may be needed by the student or the student's parents for Social Security benefits or for other purposes. All special education records, assessments and truancy records for students whose birth dates are between July 1, 1991 and June 30, 1992 or students who moved away from the district on or before June 30, 2011 are scheduled to be destroyed on April 27, 2018.
