Nicholas F. Bellantoni, PhD, will discuss “Historic East Lyme, Underground” on Sunday, April 6th,part of the East Lyme Historical Society's 2014 Lecture Series. The public is warmly invited to attend this lecture. Admission is free, although donations are always appreciated.
Dr. Bellantoni, who has been excavating in Connecticut for over 30 years, will provide an overview of historical and Native American archaeology in the East Lyme area, as well as the role of historic preservation in making land use decisions. Dr. Bellantoni serves as the state archaeologist with the Connecticut State Museum of Natural History and Archaeology Center in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University of Connecticut.
