Behind Stonington's Doors

The Stonington Historical Society will host Behind Stonington’s Doors, a Village Tour of Historic Homes, on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 10 am to 4 pm in Stonington, CT. The charming seaside village of Stonington will showcase several unique homes that have retained their historic character and represent the area’s diverse architectural and social heritage. Federal, Greek Revival and stone exteriors will open their doors to the public to present livable interiors that feature restored original woodwork, period antiques, inspired design and decorating accents.

Stonington offers many 18th and 19th century homes that reflect many architectural styles and the colorful history of Stonington's inhabitants. Home to Farmers, Fisherman, Sailors and Sea Captains, Stonington is special.
