Editor's Pick Homework Club Benefit Concert

Homework Club Benefit Concert; Friday, June, 1, 2012

Friday  7:00 pm to

In its fifth year, the Homework Club Benefit Concert will be held in celebration of and to raise funds for the after school mentoring program at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Old Saybrook. Ian and Dustin Meadows of The Meadows Brothers are looking forward to playing music for you on Friday, June 1, at St. Paul Church, 56 Great Hammock Road, Old Saybrook at 7:00 p.m. Complimentary light refreshments will be available as well as a gift basket raffle that includes generous donations from local businesses. All proceeds go directly to fund the mentoring program, which is in it's 11th year of operation! No tickets are required. A free will offering of $10 is suggested.

Ian and Dustin have been playing music together formally for six years. Formally of the classic rock band, sayWHAT?, the brothers have worked there way over to more traditional americana/folk/country influences. Their body of original tunes demonstrate their deep appreciation for american music in history played on a variety of acoustic instruments including the banjo and harmonica. The Meadows Brothers recently took first place at ValleyPalooza band competition in Deep River.
