Raise Money for Baby Gabriella, July 14, Uncasville

Saturday   TIME:  11:00 am to 5:00 pm

A fundraising event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mohegan Fire Company to help offset medical expenses for four month old Gabriella Littlefield. Garbriella has severe Ventriculomegaly (enlarged ventricles), Periventricular leukomalacia (blood in my ventricles caused by a bleed in utero), and two porencephalic cysts (holes filled with fluid). Her biggest battle coming is the two cysts in her brain which almost always cause some form of cerebal palsy. One of her options is to have her own cord blood from birth infused into her little body. Basically what happens is the cells that created her will be infused, which will then regenerate any cells that have been damaged in her brain and if there’s some low muscle tone going on, the cord blood will help to strengthen it. This will cost the family $11,000.
The public is invited to this event will over 30 vendors in attendance. Vendors include, but are not limited to, Mary Kay, Avon, Tastefully Simple, and Miche Bags. Raffle prizes donated from local businesses, food, drinks and more will be available. Patches the Clown will be do face painting and balloon animals for children.
