The Orison Project, a contemporary art gallery in Essex, Ct. presents its sixth exhibition, Brief Monuments: Making and Unmaking Memory, curated by Stephen Vincent Kobasa. This exhibit marks the first group show at the gallery.

Mr. Kobasa states:

Inspired by a text taken from a novel written by a former soldier: “The future lied to us, there long ago in the past,” this exhibition confronts the false guarantees that what were once the celebrated wars of this country’s history, would always be both remembered and justified.

The exhibition runs until October 20. Gallery Hours: Wed., Thurs., Fri. 1 - 5pm; Sat 1-6pm and by appt.
