Editor's Pick Jupiter and Saturn with Telescopes

Friday  8:00 pm to

Members of the Thames Amateur Astronomical Society will bring their telescopes to the Rocky Hollow Recreation Area at 8 p.m. Friday. If the sky is clear, this is a chance to view Jupiter and Saturn in the night sky. Jupiter has been in view all winter and is now low in the west at early- to mid-evening.
Once you spot Jupiter in the west, turn and look in the opposite direction to spot Saturn low in the eastern sky. After rising, Saturn will climb upward and westward throughout the evening hours. Cloud cover or rain postpones the viewing program to June 14.
This program is sponsored by the Friends of Wheeler Library.
