LIVE THEATER RETURNS AT GILLETTE CASTLE
The East Haddam Stage Company has opened summer season of live theater at Gillette Castle State Park with “William Gillette: Senator’s Son to Super Sleuth,” written and directed by Kandie Carle. While 3,000 people saw the show last year over the six weekend season, many folks missed it, so the troupe is bringing it back for its eighth season, with two new actors, Alex Kirstukas of Avon and Nicole Martin of New Haven. The 30-minute comedy drama will be performed at 1 and 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, through Aug. 14.
Bring a blanket or chair to the stone building and stage space near the castle.
These shows are free. In the event of rain at showtime, performances will be suspended.
