The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs, Colo. announced Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 that their new baby gorilla, born four weeks ago, is a boy. The gorilla has yet to be named but has already proven its strength by hanging onto her mothers back and belly at an early age. The zoo is holding a contest for the public to name the baby gorilla. This species of western lowlands gorilla is critically endangered.
