Salem Apple Festival preparation

Volunteers Louis Johnson, top right, of East Lyme, and Joseph Sullivan, top left, of Salem, prepare apples to be used in hand made apple pies at the Congregational Church of Salem Christian Education Building for the 43rd annual Apple Festival at the Congregational Church of Salem, Tuesday, oct. 23, 2012. The volunteers make over 1000 apple pies to be sold at the event on Saturday.
