A snapping turtle wades into the waters of Rogers Lake in Old Lyme as a group with the Tributary Mill Conservancy, in conjunction with National Geographic Crittercam Research Partner, Mystic Aquarium and the state DEEP, release a pair of snapping turtles into Rogers Lake in Old Lyme Tuesday, August 6, 2013. The two turtles, caught in the lake, were affixed with National Geographic Crittercams which were programmed to capture six-hours of video to be used as part of the research, conservation and education missions of the conservancy. The two cameras are equipped with an automatic release and a tracking beacon to allow the researchers to recover them from the lake.
