The Westerly Morris Men summited Lantern Hill in North Stonington for the 28th time this morning, celebrating the vernal equinox with traditional English song and dance as the sun rose behind a thick wall of fog. The team of seven dancers made their annual hike up the mountain to usher in the first sunrise of spring before an audience of a couple dozen - a mixed crowd of Morris devotees and first-timers.
