State government and politics reporter
JC Reindl covers state government and politics for The Day.
He previously worked as a general assignment and crusades reporter at The Blade in Toledo, Ohio, and before that covered the town of Plainville for The Herald of New Britain. In 2012 he received the Connecticut Theodore Driscoll Award for Investigative Reporting for a story involving the proposed corporate beneficiary of millions of dollars in state assistance.
He also snagged the AP Society of Ohio's top-division "Best News Writer" award in 2010 while at The Blade.
JC was brought up in a small town in northwest Ohio where they used to manufacture the Etch A Sketch. He has a bachelor's degree in English from Yale and a master's degree from Columbia University's journalism school. As an undergraduate he ran indoor and outdoor track and served as captain of Yale’s cross-country team.
